eJourn is an application written for Linux/BSD/Unix/OS X (maybe Windows in a while) to help you manage a diary or journal. Actually, to help you manage several diaries and journals.
To find out more go ahead and click the links in the purple above. To see eJourn in action, there's a flash video on the video page.
If you're having troubles you might check out the Bugs page and the Use page. Or, just give me a ring
If you're interested in beta testing eJourn please e-mail me or IM (aim: tomcat16084) me. I'm looking for general testers, and even moreso, testers whose native language is not English or Spanish (languages that make heavy use of non-ascii characters: Yes, French and German are excellent examples; but Chinese and Japanese are even better examples!). But that's just what I need most for this release. I'll be needing different sorts of testers in every release.
So, please give me a holler if you'd like to help make eJourn more robust! No technical experience is necessary. IM correspondence is preferred as it's easier to flesh out bugs that way.

Go to the Coming Soon page to see a list of features coming in the next version. You may also make feature requests on that page.
Also, I've posted the Users Manual on the site.
new, 2006 I've been working on a new version with several new features:
I've gotten eJourn to build on Windows now, without encryption support, but it presently crashes. One step closer anyway. I also doubt it runs outside of mingw, but it's a big step forward in eJourn for Windows.
This is the standard "I'm not psychic section." Currently the major limiting factors in eJourn, in my opinion, is the lack of translations and a windows port (also no one to make sure it works on mac or bsd, I only theorize).
I've done introductory things toward a Windows build. But it requires more work. Right now it builds and runs, until it crashes 3 seconds later. Obviously there are things causing memory issues on Windows builds, and there are things which will prevent it from working right (missing functions like usleep, nanosleep, and some directory manuevering functions). If you want a Windows build: I suggest offering your knowledgeable assistance. I don't even know of a memory debugger for Windows.
If you want translations I need to know. I can't do any translating myself, and I'm not going to make it possible in the app until I get offers to do the translation part. I try to use stock gtk items, which I assume translate, whenever I can. But that doesn't work for everything.
